Apartment Reveal Day 1- Bed/Living Room

Hello lovely friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. As promised, I took some better pictures this weekend of my apartment and will be rolling out the reveal this week! So let's start with the background of my little home.

After graduation, both of my roomates were moving away so we couldn't stay in our college house any longer.  So in April and May, I was determined to find a new apartment.  I inquired about one place that wanted a pet sitter and tenant. Unfortunately, they wanted a pet sitter for their 12 cats! when they went away to Florida in the winter.  Ew no. Then I checked out an apartment building that used to be an old funeral home.  Unfortunately, they didn't renovate much from its time as a funeral home. Double ew. And then I was called to come see this apartment.  I decided to take it, put my deposit down that same day, and signed the lease the next day.  I ended up moving in the week of finals to give myself something besides just finals to think about and to have everything moved before I went on vacation.

So are you ready to see it?

Up first...the living room/bedroom.

Technically this apartment is considered an efficiency apartment because there is no seperate bedroom.  But honestly, there's a ton of space so I didn't mind.

Here's the entry way. There's a little hallway before you see the rest of the room.

Here's the view when you walk in looking towards the back door.

My "coat closet" and dresser

The closet...has my boots, coats, and tools

Wall stuff

Dresser stuff- hair stuff, makeup, and a picture of me and my Mama

Looking back towards the love seat and air conditioner

My bed and nightstand. And my three pieces of art from Home Goods

My Lancaster corner- local art from downtown

Key holder & the 4 Square. It holds my books, magazines, and jewelry

My bedroom window with husband pillow and blankets

So that's my bedroom/living room.  Tomorrow I'll be posting pictures of my dining room/office.  If you have questions about where I got certain things, let me know and I'll be happy to tell you.

I remember my first Big Girl apartment back in the 70's. Mary Tyler Moore was my hero and the first thing I bought was a big "S" to put on my wall just like Mary's "M." ENJOY this exciting time in your life!
