Day 7- A Book to Read

So I'm a day behind.  But for good reason.  This morning I ran the Color Run Philadelphia and it was absolutely incredible! The coolest thing I've done in Philadelphia for sure.  But it meant that last night I was eating lots and getting packed and falling asleep early! And the prompt for Day 8 is going to require me to think so I'm going to do day 7's and catch up on two tomorrow!

Day 7- Recommend a book for us to read!

Here's a few of my favorites:
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
This book is just goodness from beginning to end.  Each stage of Gilbert's travels through Italy, India, and Bali make me learn something about myself. And I get more out of it each time I read it.  The movie is also good.  But read the book first.

Second Time Around by Beth Kendrick
This book is about women who change their careers, goals, and lives after years of being unhappy or unsettled in their jobs. But it's woven together with beautiful glimpses into their lives.  And I just love it.

Any book by Deirdre Martin for beach reading
She's the master of a sweet, sassy chick lit book. But without all the dumb, Fabio-esque qualities.  A lot of her stories weave together about a hockey team and the various romances that come about.  But they interconnect without being in your face about it.

There ya go! I can't WAIT to catch up on your recommendations tomorrow!

  1. I am going to have so many books on my list as well. I kind of want to do the color run in Birmingham. :)
